Information Technology Consultant (Mainframe CICS)

Aerient LLC. is looking for an Mainframe CICS Information Technology Consultant to add to our dynamic team of IT professionals. The successful candidate will coordinate with appropriate levels to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction. Leads major portions of large or medium projects, and leads small projects autonomously. Provides highly technical and specialized solutions to complex IT problems. Performs analyses and studies and prepares reports; Gathers facts through research, interviewing, surveys, etc. analyzes the client's business, draws conclusions, prepares final reports and gives presentations. Uses in-depth consultative skills and business knowledge to practice business objectives and processes. This will be focused on Mainframe CICS.

Required Experience/Skills:

• 5-12 years experience in the IT field, or equivalent post-high school studies depending on degree level
• Experience writing functional requirements and preparing functional designs
• Excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills
• Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle
• Significant experience in requirements development and traceability through the SELC of a system – from requirements definition to design to development and testing and post production validation

Valuable Skills to have:

• Transactions
• Database calls
• MQ messages
• Online messages with average transaction response times of less than one second

Education:

• Master's Degree with at least 6 years experience or Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years experience in Computer Science or related discipline, preferred.

Security Clearance

• Holding active or previous experience and badged with the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with Background Investigation(BI) is a plus.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to obtain/maintain National Security Clearance.

• CBP Data Center, Newington, VA near Ft. Belvoir, VA
