Functional Analyst (Middleware)

Aerient LLC. is looking for a Middleware Functional Analyst to add to our dynamic team of IT professionals. As a Functional Analyst, the candidate will manage the daily functional analysis for all relevant interfaces for a federal data center. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of IT processes with a concentration on data center knowledge is expected. Analyzes user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements. Performs functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships. Identifies resources required for each task. This will be focused on Middleware.

Required Experience/Skills:

• 4 years experience in the IT field, or equivalent post-high school studies
• Experience writing functional/business requirements and preparing functional designs
• Excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills
• Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle
• Significant experience in requirements development and traceability through the SELC of a system – from requirements definition to design to development and testing and post production validation
• Experience writing functional/business requirements and preparing functional designs

Valuable Skills to have:

• External connections with trade, airlines, other US and foreign governments
• Websphere Application Servers (WAS), Websphere Portal Servers
• MQSeries Infrastructure Objects (clustered queues, local queues, remote queues, alias queues, model queues, channels, trigger processes, service processes)
• Data Translation/Transformation Maps
• DataPower Appliances MQSeries Message Requests (Mainframe and Distributed Systems)
• Middleware Support Request via Phone Calls
• Middleware Support Requests via Email
• Middleware Change Control Records
• Project Design and Implementation Coordination

Education:

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, preferred.

Security Clearance

• Holding active or previous experience and badged with the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with Background Investigation(BI) is a plus.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to obtain/maintain National Security Clearance.

• CBP Data Center, Newington, VA near Ft. Belvoir, VA
