Database Management Specialist (Senior) (Database Services)

Aerient LLC. is looking for a Database Management Specialist (Senior) to add to our dynamic team of IT professionals. As a Database Management Specialist (Senior), the candidate will manage the development of data base projects for a federal data center. Plans and budgets staff and data base resources. When necessary, reallocates resources to maximize benefits. Prepares and delivers presentations on data base management systems concepts. Provides daily supervision and direction to support staff. This will function in the Database Services environment.

Required Experience/Skills:

• 5-9 years experience in the IT field with an emphasis on configuration management, or equivalent post-high school studies based on degree level
• Excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills
• Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle
• Significant experience in requirements development and traceability through the SELC of a system – from requirements definition to design to development and testing and post production validation
• Experience writing functional/business requirements and preparing functional designs

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, preferred.

Security Clearance

• Holding active or previous experience and baged with the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with Background Investigation (BI) is a plus.

• CBP Data Center, Newington, VA near Ft. Belvoir, VA
