Configuration Management Specialist (Intermediate) (ILAB)

Aerient LLC. is looking for a Configuration Management Specialist (Intermediate)to add to our dynamic team of IT professionals. As a Configuration Management Specialist, the candidate will manage the daily configuration analysis for all relevant interfaces for a federal data center. Responsible for configuration management planning. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits. Responsible for configuration planning. Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation. Responsible for configuration change control. Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Responsible for configuration status accounting. Tracks all problems and changes in produce documents and reports changes and current configuration. Responsible for configuration audits. Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met. Supports quality assurance process audits. This will be focused on ILAB.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 5-9 years experience in the IT field with an emphasis on configuration management, or equivalent post-high school studies based on degree level
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills
  • Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle
  • Significant experience in requirements development and traceability through the SELC of a system – from requirements definition to design to development and testing and post production validation
  • Experience writing functional/business requirements and preparing functional designs

Valuable Skills to have:

  • Projects supported across seven mission areas
  • WRAPS and Dimensions DDL review requests
  • Erwin Data Modeler enterprise tool support
  • Enterprise Data Assets to support ad-hoc updates to EAIR
  • Information Exchange Package Documents (IEPD) to develop/review for National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)
  • Data Management policies, processes, and standards documents to develop/maintain

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, preferred.

Security Clearance

  • Holding active or previous experience and baged with the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with Background Investigation (BI) is a plus.

Work Location:

  • CBP Data Center, Newington, VA near Ft. Belvoir, VA
